Both companies are into transportation and logistics as Third-Party Logistics Providers (TPLs) offering competitive freight rates, single contact point, value-added and world-wide services. EVO Lines was established in 2002 for general commodities and EVO Shipping, four years later for specific commodities only.

“We started from scratch,” elaborated Mr Roysten Tan, one of the two Directors. “But we went all the way, never looking back.” Mr Lawrence Lim, his younger partner, added, “This industry is very market driven, but our positive mindset carried us through the challenging times”.

Indeed, the sky seems to be the limit for both partners sharing mutual trust, a brotherly love and a common working background as sales executives in the same company. As their own bosses now, they want to achieve more for their two companies. They attributed their success to sheer hard work, and a little good fortune; dedicated staffs and background experience from working as shipping executives in the same company.

Both companies would not have come thus far without support from all business partners including customers, international shipping lines, airlines and overseas agents. “With special thanks to NOL/APL for partnering EVO Lines in delivering consistent and quality services to clients. Indeed we were strongly supported by our business partners when we were still an infant player in the shipping industry in 2002,” said Mr Roysten Tan.

“Today, with our established partnerships and strong track records, shipping lines gives us priority on vessel space, even during peak season.” said Mr Lawrence Lim. “For those common port pairs, some shipping lines even reserved space for our bookings on every voyage.”
